This badass 1970 Chevelle arrived in our shop in early 2017. Having previously been at another shop that couldn’t finish the car, we were tasked with completing this car. We started by finishing the chassis and final mounting of the body. The CCP hydra-boost system was installed along with the Clayton Machine Works pedals and Ididiti steering column. stainless steel brake lines plumb the brake system. The fuel system is constructed of all Aeromotive parts, including –8 feed lines and -6 return lines, with an in-tank fuel pump mounted in a Rick’s Stainless S.S. fuel tank. Classic Instruments gauges are mounted in a modified Paul Atkins dashboard and center console, which contains the Kenwood double DIN head unit, Resto Mod Air HVAC controls, and billet window switches. An aluminum driveshaft by Inland Empire drivelines connects the power from the Tri Star engines 598” BBC through the Tremec T-56 to the custom built Ford 9” rear axle, and drives power down to the Billet Specialties polished aluminum wheels wrapped in Hankook rubber. Wiring is being completed using a Painless Performance harness. Paint and body work was completed by the owner.
