"Iggles" Ambulance

We are a greater Philadelphia based shop, and one of the things we know is important is the Philadelphia Eagles. This project was a little out of the ordinary for us, but something we felt a strong passion for. The owners of the “IGGLES AMBULANCE” wanted to create a tailgating machine worthy of a superbowl victory, so we set to work to realize their vision. Starting with a decommissioned Ford ambulance, we altered the rear electrical system to incorporate a standalone system separate from the engine and chassis system. Powered by several deep cycle batteries with an inverter, both 12V DC and 115V AC electronics find power in the rear. An external outlet is available for charging from a separate generator to keep everything running during long hours. LED recessed lighting is present in the top ceiling that is upholstered in football-colored vinyl. Seating is also upholstered in the football vinyl with white piping. An HD TV on a swing out arm was constructed to fill the rear doorway during tailgating events, and an integrated full stereo with amplifiers and subwoofers supplies audio accompaniment to the beer and grilled hot dogs. Making everything practical, we also installed a Rhinoliner floor and D-ring tie downs to make sure nothing moves during the trip to Lincoln Financial Field. On the outside, green and white lenses were sourced and modified to fit to the existing ambulance lights after all lights were made functional again, and are controlled from the pilot seat. Finishing off the ensemble is a custom vinyl wrap with artwork designed by the owners depicting vintage Eagle aesthetics.
