1955 Chevy 3200 Pickup

This 1955 Chevrolet 3200 pickup was in running and driving condition with perfect patina, but needed a lot of work to bring out the treasure underneath.  Starting with the wiring, we gutted the existing wiring that was extensively “farm repaired” over the years in favor of a Painless Performance custom-built harness.  All connectors and ignition were updated, and a general tune up performed on the Straight Six engine.  All brightwork was replaced or repaired and re-chrome plated.  The existing rotted plywood bed was removed, and replaced with choice pine boards with polished stainless steel bed strips.  The pine was burnt, and finished off with high gloss Urethane.  The original suspension was updated with Posies Rods and Customs Dure-flex and Superslide springs, front and rear, dramatically lowering the truck and improving ride quality.  Gabriel shocks finish off the suspension.  Numerous other repairs and updates were completed, and Bux Customs created a custom built seat in blue leather.  To protect the patina and add a little bit of depth, PPG flattened clear was applied.
