1981 Pontiac Trans AM

“THE PREDATOR” Trans AM began life as a shell of a 1981 Pontiac Trans AM Turbo. The car sits on a full complement of Heidt’s Pro-G suspension, bolt to Billet Specialties wheel wrapped in Continental rubber. Having nothing more than the shell and chassis of a car to work with, we opted to encompass the greatest design elements of the second generation F-body all into one car. A 1970-73 Trans AM nose was grafted on to the front, and a 1970-73 Camaro tail panel was used at the rear. Extensive aluminum fabrication can be found up front, from the front fascia, to the splitter and chin spoiler. Open the Shaker hood and you’ll find more custom fabricated engine paneling to replace the original inner fenderwells. At the rear, steel was used to fabricate bumper tubes hidden behind the integrated “wrap up” bumpers. The original Trans AM wing was deleted, and a unique removable lower rear wing was fabricated. Going inside, the car features hidden ignition and parking brake switches, and a touch screen mounted in the custom fabricated steel dashboard to control all vehicle functions. Trimmed out in Relicate Leather and Alcantara, all interior fabrication and trimming was done by Bux Customs. To finish everything off, the Trans AM was shot in PPG brilliant black crystal, with accents of PPG graphite and different clear coat textures throughout.
